Ravi Sidhu Direct Public Access Barrister Deputy Coroner, Berkshire
Acorn is very pleased to welcome Ravi to Chambers; he brings a wealth of experience and represents a significant addition to the range of services we can now offer, in particular to the National Health Service industry.
Ravi was called to the bar in 1988, by the Inner Temple. He is a member of The Coroners’ Society of England and Wales and The Society of Asian Lawyers.
Ravi has been conducting judicial functions as a Deputy Coroner for the last 5 years. His current practice covers a wide range of medical, Coronial and police law issues, including; Article 2 inquests (suspicious deaths), rape serious sexual assaults, drug trafficking, homicide, fraud, redundancy and disciplinary hearings.
As a specialist, Ravi was the key legal expert for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in producing the ‘CPS, Coroners & Association of Chief Police Officers’ (ACPO) Memorandum of Understanding 2013. He was also the author of Coroners Officers’ Guidelines.

2002 – 2003 Head of Criminal Justice Unit Oxfordshire CPS
Leading a team of 40 staff including 10 lawyers to conduct criminal prosecutions in the Oxfordshire magistrates’ courts.
